More on Darren Williams and an open records request
I want to say upfront and say that not all cops in Eastern Kentucky are bad or shady, however, enough is going on under the table that people need to pay attention.

Williams screwed up again when Dallas Campbell of Hazard walked into the Hazard Police Department on July 29th, 2024, to submit a Kentucky Open Records Request. What Dallas wanted was the hire dates and salaries of each police officer on the force. Under Kentucky law, these things are open to the public. Campell has a YouTube channel, and he was doing research on police corruption in the area.
The clerk and Darren Williams lied and said that the records were not open, and he could not have the records. He also told Campbell it was against the law to record them. Both things he said were false.
Williams arrested Campbell falsely and it was dropped in court.
Campbell decided to sue Williams and the city for doing absolutely nothing…
