London Kentucky Cop Serves Warrant At The Wrong House Killing An Innocent Man
Murdered two days before Christmas.
We’ve heard this one before. Cops at the wrong house to serve a warrant for a criminal and end up shooting an innocent victim at the wrong house. This is exactly what happened on December 23rd, 2024, in London Kentucky.
The warrant was supposed to be served at 489 Vanzant Rd which was two doors down from where 63-year-old Doug Harless was shot and killed by police officers breaking into his home.
A neighbor told a reporter for LEX18 News who would rather remain anonymous that:
“At least five shots. Woke me up. I was laying on the couch.”
Another neighbor said:
“My wife looked out the back door and said, Doug’s house is all lit up. At that time, we had seen several cop cars up and down the road and I contacted his daughter. She sent her husband out here to find out that her dad was deceased. The cops had shot him.”
His daughter had to find out that her father had been shot and killed by police officers who were unable to follow GPS or read the numbers on houses properly.
“They are looking for the guy that lives there in that house for a stolen weed eater.”
