I have often asked myself why women uphold men and the evil they do. When your little girl or boy comes to you and tells you “I’m being raped” by whoever is doing the evil deed would you look them in the eye and say I don’t believe you? Could you imagine telling them you don’t believe them? Some people do. When they aren’t believed they are victimized even more. Usually, the monster in question now has free reign to do whatever he wants to do with the victim.

That’s what happened to Aundria Bowmen when she was a young teenager. She would go missing March 11th, 1989. It would be around 30 years before we would learn what happened to her.

Dennis and Brenda adopted Aundria when she was 10 months old. Her biological mother was 16 years old when she gave her up for adoption at the urging of her mother. She did so with the promise that her baby would have a better life. Aundria didn’t have a better life she was abused and every way possible.

There were eyewitnesses to physical abuse by her friends from school. One friend was over for supper when the family was having hamburgers. Aundria and said friend were only allowed to have ketchup and relish on two slices of bread. When Aundria told her friend that was normal for her every night.
